Children’s Ministry
Directed by Darla Nave
Nursery – The nursery staff is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our infants and toddlers. The nursery is sufficiently staffed for both worship services as well as GEAR group study hour. Our workers demonstrate a servant’s attitude toward the children and their parents. We have a sign-in/sign-out process and high standards of cleanliness. We follow detailed nursery policies and procedures to help protect your child’s health and well being. Copies are available upon request.

Children’s Worship-The Bible study hour provides another opportunity on Sunday evenings to teach the Good News! Our main goal is to teach children the love of Jesus through God’s Word while providing them with a loving environment. We desire that they grow in knowledge of the love of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Bible. Children’s Worship is offered during both services for children ages 3 to 6th grade. We use age-appropriate materials and each group is staffed with caring teachers who seek to lay a spiritual foundation for each unique child. The children are taught that the Bible is God’s truth and that God and Jesus love then and listen to them. Opportunities are provided for the children to express themselves and their knowledge through role play, creative play, arts & crafts, puzzles, and games. Snacks and drinks are served, and children are encouraged to share their opinions and questions as the lesson progresses. If your child has never attended Children’s Worship, please accompany him or her the first time in order for our workers to obtained correct information about your child.

Pastoral Care and Counseling Ministries
Our Pastoral Care and Counseling Ministry provides a caring response to those who are confronted with medical, personal or family crises and professional services as needed. Dr. Jeff Nave, our Associate Pastor/Counselor, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Professional counseling services are offered at no charge to Covenant Members of Northshore Church. Jason Palmer, our Minister of Pastoral Care, oversees pastoral visitation and acts quickly to meet the needs of hurting people.

Please notify us of any pastoral/counseling need for a hospitalized or homebound church or family member. (call the church office at 985-726-6178)
