Serve In The World

As a community of faith, we are propelled into a beautiful, yet broken world with a calling to serve and share, to learn and teach, and to preach and pray. In response to our call, Northshore Church strives to show compassion to the poor, care for our neighbors both near and far, and invite others to follow the ways of Jesus. God has commanded us to serve our world by practicing faith, proclaiming hope, and loving generously because God first loved us. When the church truly experiences God's love, the life transformation in our community and world will be evident. Listed below is an opportunity to serve in the world at NSC.

Our Mission To Haiti

Located in Arcahaie, Haiti, this site is the center of their Haitian programs, including children, youth, agriculture, medical care, and church planting.

With a desire to keep families together and support the community, their Child Development Program is designed to educate, feed, and care for over a hundred local children, enabling their parents to work during the day.

This program began with five young men in August of 2015. Program participants are housed and fed while learning English, studying the Bible, receiving training, mentoring, and learning life skills. This enables them when they complete the program to go out into communities, find employment and share the gospel.

Poverty Resolutions focuses on providing Bible studies, discipleship classes and church planting to help combat hopelessness and pervasive fear, to spread the gospel, and improve the spiritual health of the community. Their on-site church has grown immensely since it began in 2015.

Their on-site medical clinic currently offers general medical care a few days each week. They are also working towards providing specialty care for prenatal through toddler years, for both the mothers and children, with greater goals of housing a birthing center and long-term care. Our medical mission team members work side by side with their medical personnel in both their clinic and by providing pop-up medical clinics in the surrounding communities.

The House of Blessings (HOB) is a children's home located in the mountainous, rural village of Callebasse, Haiti. Established in 1986, the House of Blessings exists to meet the holistic needs of the children in a loving, Christian environment. The House of Blessing operates like a group home, having a staff and house parents to help care for the children.

Northshore Church has maintained a compassionate relationship with HOB for many years. We support them both financially and by sending teams to help build homes in the community, complete construction projects at the orphanage, and by sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the children and people of the village. Those that travel as team members to Haiti receive so much. Lives are changed radically to the point where they are spiritually challenged to change their communities, state, country, and world for Jesus Christ!
